Mountain Home Music presents Beer & Banjos Boone hosted by The Dawgful Dead
BEER & BANJOS is a free music series presented on the second Thursday of each month in partnership with SouthEnd Brewing and the Dawgful Dead. The house band of all house bands, the Dawgful Dead kick things off at 7PM, followed by a local or regional act at 8PM. This month, Edgar Loudermilk makes his Beer & Banjos debut!
THE DAWGFUL DEAD is a talented band that combines the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead with the virtuoso playing of the David Grisman Quintet to create a unique, high-energy sound that’s sure to get you dancing. Featuring jaw-dropping solos, intricate harmonies, and an infectious love of music, The Dawgful Dead is a band that’s not to be missed. Whether you’re a die-hard Deadhead or simply a lover of great music, you’re sure to be swept away by their powerful performances. Band Members include Adam Williams, Patrick Holmes, Chuck Mantooth, Craig Barnette, Ben Parker, Mike Mckee and Owen Parker.
EDGAR LOUDERMILK is a two-time, back to back winner of SPBGMA’s “Bass Fiddle Performer of the Year.” Edgar Loudermilk’s signature voice, bass skills, and songwriting have become his trademark, garnering over 40 industry awards and nominations. Edgar Loudermilk’s distinctive and powerful vocals cut to the heart of a song.
In addition to touring and performing for over twenty years, Edgar Loudermilk has experienced great success as a songwriter. Numerous songs written and performed by Edgar Loudermilk have been chart topping songs on Bluegrass Today’s Top Songs of the Year, as well as on Bluegrass Unlimited’s Top Songs. In addition, several of Edgar Loudermilk’s songs have also been recorded by other award-winning artists within the bluegrass genre.
Prior to stepping out with his own band in 2015, Edgar Loudermilk experienced a long tenure of performing with three of the most notable bands within the bluegrass industry. Edgar performed and toured with GRAMMY® award winner Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, with the award winning band Marty Raybon & Full Circle, and the multi-award bluegrass powerhouse Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out. In addition to touring and songwriting, Edgar Loudermilk’s festival production company, Edgar Loudermilk Music Productions, produces and promotes bluegrass festivals throughout the midwest and the southeast. https://www.edgarloudermilk.com/home
