Mountain Home Music, Carolina Ramble Productions & Kattagast Music are pleased to present an evening of Appalachian Murder Ballads!
Appalachia abounds with lonesome songs about killing. Famous Appalachian murder ballads include “Pretty Polly,” “Frankie and Johnny,” “The Knoxville Girl,” “Banks of the Ohio” and of course, “Tom Dooley,” which is based on a disputed murder in neighboring Wilkes County. The term ballad applied to traditional or folk music means a narrative song.

This one-of-a-kind journey through the dark side of Appalachian musical storytelling features an all-star line up of local talent to be announced soon! ✨️

New songs, old favorites, spooky vibes & good times. Also, a portion of merch sales will benefit Oasis.
