Boone’s Got Talent is back!
Boonerang Music & Arts Festival kicks off with an event to showcase some of the area’s best talent. In collaboration with the Appalachian Theatre and Mountain Home Music, the official Thursday night ticketed kick-off event for the 2025 festival will feature the second annual Boone’s Got Talent showcase on the Doc Watson Stage at the Appalachian Theatre on June 19. Anyone living in the High Country or with a Boone connection and with a talent to share is encouraged to record a video and submit an application to participate. Selected acts will showcase their talent on the Doc Watson Stage at the historic Appalachian Theatre of the High Country in a ticketed showcase as a kick-off to the Boonerang Music & Arts Festival.

Application Deadline: May 1, 2025
How to Apply:
- Applications open March 3, 2025.
- Complete and submit your application, including a video link, by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2025.
- Selected acts will be notified by May 16, 2025.
Guidelines:
- Acts/artists must have a connection to the High Country
- Music acts are limited to acoustic groups (no drums/amps).
- Open to artists of all ages
- Acts will have a maximum of 5 minutes to perform.
- Content should be clean and family-friendly. No vulgarity.
- Individuals may not participate in more than 2 performances.
- Selected acts must be available for the Mandatory Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday, June 18 (6 – 9 PM) and the Showcase on Thursday, June 19 (6 – 9 PM) at the AppTheatre.
- Applicants will be notified by Friday, May 16.
Video Guidelines:
- Videos must be under 5 minutes in duration.
- Submission video must be a recent, live performance and represent the exact performance you’re proposing for the showcase.
- If you don’t have existing recordings that meet these criteria, please consider recording performances specifically for your registration. An informal smartphone video is just fine.
- Preferred method: Provide a URL for a video that you have uploaded online. (YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, your website, etc.). Please make sure they’re not “private.” Private links will not be accepted or reviewed. “Unlisted” or “Public” is fine.

Is There a Prize?
Because this is a showcase and not a talent competition, prizes will not be awarded. However, selected acts will perform at a ticketed performance at the Appalachian Theatre and receive swag.
When Do Tickets Go On Sale?
Selected acts will have first dibs on tickets for a few days before they go public. Tickets will be available at www.apptheatre.org.
